Hands-on Training on 'Reaxys' database organized by the Central Library was held on 11th July 2019. The training was handled by Dr. Mandar Bodas, Solution Consultant, Research Solutions, Elsevier.
Dr. Mandar Bodas did Ph.D. from NCL, Pune, and postdoc from the University of Montreal. Thereafter worked for 2 years with Ranbaxy labs in their new drug discovery research. Before joining Elsevier, Dr. Mandar was working for the last 10 years with Biocon Bristol-Myers Squib Research Centre (BBRC), Syngene International limited as a Sr Principal Scientist in their medicinal chemistry department.
Dr. Sainul Abideen, Asst. Librarian & Officer in Charge, Central Library welcomed the speaker and participants. The hands-on session provided an opportunity to explore in-depth possibilities of the Reaxys in research cycle of the faculty and research scholars.
Many faculty members, staff, research scholars, and students attended this hands-on training organized by the Central Library.
