Training Programme on Web of Science and End Note concludes

Training Programme on Improving Research Literature Review Process and Reference Management  using 'Web of Science', and 'EndNote' " was successfully held on 17.11.2017 (Friday) between 2.30 - 4 PM. Faculty members, Research Scholars and Students actively participated in the programme which was held at Physical Science Building Seminar Hall, IISER Thiruvananthapuram.

Training was provided by Dr. Subhasree Nag, who is a solution consultant for the life sciences and scholarly research division at Clarivate Analytics. She completed her PhD from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, USA and her post-doctoral training from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USA. A pharmacologist and toxicologist by training, she has more than 8 years of research experience in anticancer drug discovery and pharmacokinetics areas with 25 peer reviewed publications and more than 350 citations.

Library Subscribes Reaxys Database

Online access to the Reaxys database has been made available to IISER Thiruvananthapuram. Reaxys can be accessed from https://www.reaxys.com/ 

'Reaxys is a web-based tool for the retrieval of chemistry information and data from published literature, including journals and patents. The information includes chemical compounds, chemical reactions, chemical properties, related bibliographic data, substance data with synthesis planning information, as well as experimental procedures from selected journals and other resources'.

All are requested to kindly make use of this resource.

User Training Workshop on Oxford University Press Journal Platform Concluds

The Central Library, IISER Thiruvananthapuram conducted a "User Training Workshop on Oxford University Press Journal Platform" was held on 2nd November, 2017 at Seminar Hall, Physical Science Building, IISER TVM Campus, Vithura.

The training session was conducted by Ms.Sumita Sen, Asst Manager, Training – South Asia & South East Asia, Oxford University Press. During her session, she explained and demonstrated the the OUP platform Oxford Scholarship online for accessing and personalising the e-resources.

Dr. Sainul Abideen P, Asst. Librarian & Officer in Charge (Library) welcomed the Ms. Sumita. PhD, IPhd and BSMS Students entusiastically attended the Session and, actively participated in the Quiz competition held immidiately after the Session. Ms.Sumita Sen distributed prizes to winners of quiz competition.
